Q Where can I purchase Prep Oils?
A

The Prep range of High Performance Oils are available across Europe, from the west cost of Ireland to Russia.

FRYING QUESTIONS:
Q My oil is smoking, is there something wrong?
A

Possible causes of oil smoking are:

• Frying of wet or frost covered food
• Insufficient filtering or skimming.
• The oil may need discarding.
• The oil may be overheated – check the thermostat.
• Meat products could have been fried or other oils added to the fryer.
• Flame alignment on gas fryers may need adjusting – it may be causing hot spots.

Q My oil is foaming excessively, is there something wrong?
A

Possible causes of oil foaming excessively are:

• Overheated oil.
• Thermostat may need checking or the temperature may be too high.
• Filtering may need to be carried out more often.
• The fryer may be overfilled with oil, check the frying level.

Q My oil is going dark quicker than normal, is there something wrong?
A

Possible causes of oil going dark quicker than normal are:

• Insufficient filtering or skimming.
• Temperature too high, check thermostat.
• Oil left at 180ºC with nothing in it. Do not allow fryer to idle.
• Flame alignment on gas fryers may need adjusting – it may be causing hot spots.
• The equipment may not have been cleaned properly.

Q My oil is being used up too quickly, is there something wrong?
A

Possible causes of oil being used to quickly are:

• Refrying food that has already been fried to reheat it.
• Insufficient draining of food after frying.
• Frying food such as potatoes that have already been thawed and then refrozen.

Q The food is not cooking or browning in the expected time?
A

Possible causes of the food not cooking / browning in expected time are:

• Frying basket may be overloaded.
• The temperature may be too low, check thermostat.
• Frying temperature may not be recovering from one load to the next.

A

Prep Multi, Prep Maxi, Prep Ultra and Prep Pro are all based on Rapeseed Oil.

Prep ZT is based on Palm and Sunflower Oil.

Prep Supreme is based on Palm Oil.

Prep Palm is 100% Palm Oil.

Prep Deli and Prep Gourmet are based on Rapeseed Oil with butter flavour.
Q Are Prep Oils suitable for Coeliacs / Vegans / Vegetarians or Halal / Kosher diets?
A Yes all the Prep range are suitable for the above mention diets.
Q Do Prep Oils contain nuts?
A None of the Prep range contains nuts.
Q Are Prep Oils none GM?
A Yes the full range of Prep Oils are GM free.
